Who we are

This website, www.cropsy.tech, belongs to Cropsy Technologies Limited, a company registered in New Zealand (NZBN 9429047527232), at 1790 Great North Road, Avondale, Auckland 1026, New Zealand. For any question about your information, write to contact@cropsy.tech.

What we collect, and why

When you contact us or book a demo. The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number, company and a message. The demo booking form asks for your email address, your estate or company, the vineyard area you manage, a preferred date and an optional note. We use these to reply to you and to talk with you about Cropsy, and for nothing else.

When you sign up to Cropsy Facts. We collect your email address to send you each issue. You can unsubscribe from any issue in one click.

When you browse. We measure how the site is used: which pages people read, how they found us, and whether our ads work. We use this to improve the site and our marketing.

To stop spam, our server keeps a count of the requests coming from each internet address for about an hour. It never stores your address with your message.

Who handles it for us

• Amazon Web Services hosts the website and receives what you send through our forms.
• Notion stores enquiries and demo requests, which are also emailed to our sales inbox.
• MailerLite sends Cropsy Facts.
• Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and PostHog measure how the site is used.

Some of these services store information outside New Zealand, including in the United States.

Cookies

We use three types of cookies and similar browser storage:

• Needed for the site (always on): they remember your cookie choice, for six months, and your language.
• Analytics: they show us how the site is used. Google Analytics’ cookies last two years, and PostHog’s storage stays in your browser until you clear it.
• Marketing: they show us whether our ads work, and last 90 days.

Analytics and marketing are on unless you turn them off. You can change your mind at any time under Cookie settings, at the foot of every page. Turning a type off deletes its cookies.

If we’ve sent you a private link to our pricing calculator, opening it sets one more cookie, which keeps the link open for up to seven days.

How long we keep your information

• Enquiries and demo requests: for as long as we’re in touch, and no more than two years after we last hear from you.
• Cropsy Facts: until you unsubscribe.
• Analytics: up to 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by writing to contact@cropsy.tech. We’ll answer within 20 working days.

If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz). If you’re in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the GDPR and can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
